Sports Club

The Sports Club brings together over 300 student-athletes competing in a wide range of disciplines, including volleyball, freestyle wrestling, boxing, archery, chess, checkers, futsal, sambo, MMA, pankration, and table tennis.

The Buryat State Agricultural Academy (BSAA) has been recognized for its excellence in sports promotion, receiving a 1st Degree Diploma in the nomination "Organization of Health and Fitness Work among Academic and Administrative Staff" and a 2nd Degree Diploma for "Organization of Health, Fitness, and Mass Sports Work among Students."

At the republican physical culture and sports awards "Golden Olympus," BSAA was honored as a laureate in three nominations: "Best Organization of Sports and Fitness Work among Higher Education Institutions," with archer Erdem Tsydypov winning "Best Athlete in Olympic Sports," and the academy also receiving the "Best Sports Volunteer" award.

The Academy hosts republican tournaments in boxing, wrestling, sambo, and volleyball. BSAA students consistently achieve top placements in international, all-Russian, and regional competitions in wrestling, boxing, sambo, archery, and other sports.

The Academy organizes a dynamic calendar of internal and external sporting events:

Internal Academy Events:

• Freshmen Spartakiad: Traditionally held at the start of the academic year to engage first-year students in sports sections.
  
• Inter-Faculty Spartakiad: Runs throughout the year across various sports to select the best athletes for inter-university competitions and republic-level championships.
  
• "Vigor and Health" Spartakiad for academic and administrative staff.
  
• BSAA GTO Festival for students and staff.
  
• Spartakiad among Dormitories No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
  
• Mass sports festivals "Surkharban" and "Health Day."

Memorial and Open Tournaments:

• Republican Boxing Tournament in memory of Professor A.Ts. Balduyev.
  
• Buryatia Republic Boxing Championship for the prizes of Professor V.A. Shabayev.
  
• Open Republican Volleyball Tournament (men & women) in memory of T.F. Burkin.
  
• Open Academy Freestyle Wrestling Championship in memory of A.P. Popov.
  
• Open BSAA Sambo Championship among colleges and universities of Ulan-Ude.

Participation in External Competitions

BSAA team teams actively compete at all levels:

• Championships of the Republic of Buryatia, All-Russian, and International tournaments.
  
• All-Russian Running Day "Cross of Nations."
  
• All-Russian Mass Race "Ski Track of Russia."
  
• Student Sports Festival among Universities (futsal, volleyball, athletics, basketball, chess, table tennis).
  
• International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament for the prizes of Boris Budayev.
  
• Regional Boxing Tournament in memory of B. Batuyev.
  
• All-Russian Archery Competitions in memory of Professor B.D. Sandanov.
  
• Summer and Winter Student Universiade of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture (freestyle wrestling, athletics, volleyball, chess, table tennis, kettlebell lifting, arm wrestling, judo, futsal).
  
• "Health" Spartakiad for academic staff of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
