Numerous international foundations, programs, and organizations provide grants and scholarships for studying, conducting research, and undertaking internships abroad.
A key priority for the Academy is the export of educational services. Buryat State Agricultural Academy employs a model of internal internationalization, which focuses on attracting international students to pursue education at all levels—from pre-university training to bachelor's, master's, postgraduate, and professional development programs. These programs are offered in full-time, part-time, and distance learning formats, delivered entirely within the Russian Federation (aligning with the WTO's "Consumption Abroad" mode of supply).
As of 2023, the primary sources of international students for the Academy are Mongolia, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
